Dirtbagger of the Month

Dirtbaggerguide.com will feature the coveted Dirtbag of the Month (DbM) award. Dirtbags will be nominated by fellow d’bags and the judging will be based on the following criteria: ability to subsist off of minimal employment, dedication to adventure travel, living in creative and/or non-traditional arrangements, devotion to the lifestyle, and service to the field.

Dirtbags will receive a lovely ‘Dirtbag of the Month’ t-shirt and a fabulous goodie bag from our favorite sponsors (if we had any). A full-length feature of the selected dirtbag will run on the front page of the site, along with the opportunity to answer the ‘Ask a Dirtbagger’ fan mail. We hope these distinguished fellows can bring motivation and inspiration to the rest of us.

Please send nominations to dirtbaggerslc at gmail.com. In the e-mail, please include a name and contact of the person you are nominating, along with an explanation of why you think this person is deserving of the DbM award. We are interested in featuring dirtbags from all walks of life including, but not limited to climbers, organic farmers, backpackers, river rats, writers, communal-dwelling hippie-sters, musicians, hunter-gatherers, and ‘graduate’ students.
